“The real heroes anyway aren’t the people doing things; the real heroes are the people NOTICING things, paying attention.”

The Fault in Our Stars, John Green

I just finished reading The Fault in Our Stars. What a beautiful mix of emotions. What a beautiful book.

There’s much to be said, about the beauty of sorrow, the elegance of tears.

“‘Tis better to have loved and lost

Than never to have loved at all.”

-In Memoriam A.H.H., Tennyson

No life exists without sorrow. No night sky is without stars. And like the stars, tears shine as brands of hope and love. They’re sparks in the blackness; fallen souls and lost memories.

I’ll write non-sappy stuff tomorrow. Tonight, I’m just in one of those rich moods you simply can’t ignore.

Take care.
